So my soon to be step brother had a bad accident this weekend. Fell asleep coming back from all night gambling out of state and rolled his ranger 5 times. Wasn’t wearing seatbelt. Not only survived but it’s already home. For anyone to survive a wreck in a ranger let alone a rollover let alone no seatbelt... Damn lucky.
(Not his truck, just representative)

Shit, hopefully he’s OK and maybe examines his life choices based on the above.

Yeah i know nothing about him, met him briefly once. Seems to be doing okay

Rolled five times, not wearing a seatbelt, and survived? He should head back to the casino, with someone else driving.

Not just damn lucky, damn stupid as well. I hope he learns from this.

Oiy, glad he’s still around to make better choices..
He should be in a Toyota.

Pictured, my brother in law’s first truck he rolled approximately 5 times. This was once a Ranger as well. He had a tie rod let go at around 55mph, witnesses even said he was driving completely normal then all of a sudden, into the ditch then started rolling. He has scaring from it, he had a seat belt on and a lot of glass got him. Otherwise walked away.
Apparently 5 rolls is about as much as you get out of a Ranger before it stops...

Glad he’s ok, but damn is he lucky.
Buddy of mine rolled an early 90s S10 Blazer sans belts once and he got lucky too.
Whole lot of better decisions could have been made last Saturday by your future step brother. Hope he learns a few lessons from it.

I’m pretty sure you posted this back when the tie rod let go in my B-3000. I was doing 65, but I was lucky and didn’t roll.

I guess I’ve been lucky. I fell asleep at the wheel once, but woke up bouncing along in the ditch. Now I’ll stop and take a 20 minute snooze if I’m feeling sleepy.

Probably, whenever one of these flips I bust out the picture.
I didn’t expect it to get this much use.

Scary thing is he was on I80, speed limit 80. I wonder how fast he was going.

Damn, glad he’s somehow OK! That’s insane!!! Hope he learned a lesson about seatbelts though! Very lucky he wasn’t thrown clear!

That’s fast to go rollin’! Glad he’s alright.

I think all of his luck didn’t show up while gambling, but rather while driving

No seat belt? Seriously?
Is this an American thing? I swear I’ve never seen this behavior in Australia.

it is not. its a rarity.

My dad hit a patch of ice going over a bridge and lost control of his Ranger and rolled it about 3 or 4 times. He had his seat belt on. He was sore but walked away from it.

It seems to come up in a
lot
of articles about crashes. Maybe there’s a correlation.

well, you don’t hear about crashes where the people survive that often. In fact there was no news story about him either. I guess what Im saying is if you died in a crash and weren’t wearing a seatbelt...newsworthy.

I’m not so sure about that. I find they usually mention it in passing, it’s not the focus of the article or the reason it was written.
